KENT ESTUARY MISSION COMMUNITY
In Cumbria, the Anglican, Methodist, URC, and Salvation Army churches have entered an ecumenical, Covenanted Partnership – with Roman Catholic, Baptist, Society of Friends and Church of Scotland
denominations as Companions. It is this Partnership that shares the vision of God for All – that . . .
everyone who lives in, or visits the County should have the opportunity to know more of the love of God and His purpose for their lives. This Covenanted Partnership is not just for the church leaders. It is something of
which all our churches, and therefore all of us, are part.
The Group will welcome both your prayers for its work and any comments, questions, or concerns. These can be emailed to the Working Group via peter@heversham .com

There is now a Prayer Group praying for the Working Group and the wider congregations, as we all seek to discern a way forward that might best support our congregational life and enable the worship, witness and intentional mission of the churches in the Kent Estuary in the coming years.
If you would like to be part of the Prayer Group, please contact revhannahwallace@gmail.com in the first instance.
Week of Prayer beginning Sunday March 1st
The churches of the Kent Estuary are being encouraged in a Week of Prayer as we reflect and pray for the future. It is hoped that this will help , inform, and guide the conversations taking place locally regarding the potential way forward for our churches, commending all that we have and are to the care and keeping of God. More information will be available soon.
PILGRIM TRAIL
SAVE THE DATE
The Pilgrim Trail explores the history of the area’s church buildings, encouraging exploration of our heritage, the beauty around us, and, (most importantly), the faith we share. The Pilgrim Trail will be launched by Bishop Rob at Heversham Head on Saturday 14th March. A book with guides to the trail will soon be available. The launch will include the option to join the Bishop for a walk, plus an opportunity to share in refreshments and fellowship. More information will be coming soon, but please note the date.
The Romans Course
The Romans Course will be running in the Mission Community throughout Lent. It begins on Wednesday 25th February. The Letter to the Romans is one of the most influential and consequential letters ever written. By learning about it together we hope we can learn more about our shared faith in Christ. We will meet each week for ten weeks, with a break after Easter, at Arnside Methodist Church Hall between 12.30pm and 2.00pm. Each session will include a video and time for discussion and learning together. Please feel free to bring and eat your lunch. Refreshments will be served.
