Welcome to The Kent Estuary Mission Community

Kent Estuary Mission Community

In Cumbria, the Anglican, Methodist, URC, and Salvation Army churches have entered an ecumenical, Covenanted Partnership – with Roman Catholic, Baptist, Society of Friends and Church of Scotland
denominations as Companions. It is this Partnership that shares the vision of God for All – that . . .
everyone who lives in, or visits the County should have the opportunity to know more of the love of God and His purpose for their lives. This Covenanted Partnership is not just for the church leaders. It is something of
which all our churches, and therefore all of us, are part.

If you would like to join the choir (new singers welcome!) for this occasion, then please get in touch with Geoff Field – music.field@outlook.com

The choir will be leading the singing of the hymns, the eucharistic setting (Thorne) and an anthem by Mendelssohn. Should be lovely!

GROWBAG

M:HUB Beetham Road Milnthorpe

It is with great sadness that the Kendal Methodist Circuit Meeting has taken the decision that the project at Milnthorpe, MHUB, should cease and that the building will close on 31st May 2024. This decision was not taken easily or lightly, but after consultation and much prayer. There are several reasons this decision has been made, one of which is the struggle to find people able and willing to run the project going forward and increasing upkeep costs, including the need for a new roof.
The Kendal Methodist Circuit Meeting acknowledges that this impacts a number of community groups and people living in Milnthorpe and the surrounding villages. It is hoped that by delaying the closure until 31st May 2024 we are giving all the groups sufficient time to make alternative arrangements. We are not asking anyone to vacate the building in the next few weeks.
