SINGERS NEEDED!
Following the enthusiastic support of singers from around the Mission Community last year for Hannah’s Ordination, the KEMC Choir are coming together again to rehearse ahead of the United Mission Community Service at St Michael & All Angels, Beetham on Sun 9th June (10.30am).
If you would like to join the choir (new singers welcome!) for this occasion, then please get in touch with Geoff Field – music.field@outlook.com
Rehearsals at Beetham church – Fri 24th May 5-6pm, Sun 26th May 4.30-5.30 (with the option of staying on to sing Evensong with the Beetham choir at 6pm) & Sun 9th June 9-10am.
The choir will be leading the singing of the hymns, the eucharistic setting (Thorne) and an anthem by Mendelssohn. Should be lovely!
KEMC LENT COURSE
Over the weeks of Lent there will be an opportunity to gather for reflection, study, and discussion at Our Lady of Lourdes on Wednesday lunchtimes (12.30-1.45pm). We will be using the Lent materials offered by Embrace the Middle East entitled ‘Healing and Hope in the One Household of God’ – please do join us if you can. The dates for the sessions are: 21st, 28th February, 6th, 13th and 20th March. Refreshments will be provided, but if you would like to, do bring your lunch.
Following the need to postpone the previous event, a new date has been rearranged for Saturday 21st October at M: HUB in Milnthorpe (10.00am -3.00pm). Please put the date in your diaries now. Growbag is an opportunity to come together as a Mission Community (together with help from the Northern Mission Centre in the Diocese) to reflect on the different ways available to us to share the good news of God as we seek to draw people – in new ways – into the life of the church. Lunch will be provided, and we’ll have the opportunity to hear from different speakers to help guide and hopefully inspire our thinking and reflecting. The day is open to everyone, so please do think about coming along.
