Following the need to postpone the previous event, a new date has been rearranged for Saturday 21st October at M: HUB in Milnthorpe (10.00am -3.00pm). Please put the date in your diaries now. Growbag is an opportunity to come together as a Mission Community (together with help from the Northern Mission Centre in the Diocese) to reflect on the different ways available to us to share the good news of God as we seek to draw people – in new ways – into the life of the church. Lunch will be provided, and we’ll have the opportunity to hear from different speakers to help guide and hopefully inspire our thinking and reflecting. The day is open to everyone, so please do think about coming along.

Here’s a reminder of the three questions that might help us to start thinking about whether looking back does help us to look forward.

What must it have been like to be a person of faith in various phases between the 6th and 13th centuries? How did that experience change over the years?

What is it like to be a person of faith in today’s society and today’s Church? Are there similarities between now and then?

Over these centuries the nature of Church changed with it becoming increasingly central to society. As it did so the experience of its members changed. Is there anything that we can learn from this time that might help us today?
